Is ANYTHING worse than writing essays? It Doesn't Have to Be That Way!

Here’s a scenario I’ve experienced about 100 times. Have you?

It’s about 700PM on a Sunday night. You’re tired. You’ve just eaten dinner. All you want to do is curl up on the couch and watch Netflix.

But you can’t.

Because you have a stupid paper to write. In fact, you’ve had the same paper to write for weeks. You’ve just been putting it off.

The worst part? It’s due Monday morning at 8AM. Ugh.

Now, you have to spend the rest of your Sunday night figuring out some way to get 2,000 words out of your head and into a Word doc.

Before you even start, you know what’s going to happen. You’re going to open log onto your laptop, open a word doc, and just… stare at it—probably for the better part of an hour—trying to come up with something (anything!) to say.

And it won’t come. At least not easily. You’ll still be sitting there as the hours roll by 8PM… 9PM… 10PM…

And before you know it, it’s midnight, and you’ve got two whole paragraphs to show for it. When you just can’t wait anymore, you force yourself to write just so you can catch a few hours of sleep.

It doesn’t have to be that way…

Here’s what most people don’t know about essays…

It’s not about luck. It’s not about having great ideas. It’s not even particularly about how “good” of a writer you are.

Nope.

It’s about having a good system for writing essays.

What if instead of staring at your computer screen trying to come up with something brilliant to say, you had a big, organized pool of information all lined up and ready to be plopped into your essay—almost without thinking?

What if you could almost entirely eliminate lots of the extra work most people put into an essay (which, by the way, doesn’t even help get better grades)?

What if you understood exactly what makes a good essay and could focus only on those specific things instead of just… guessing?

That’s the power of a good system. And I’m going to help you.

I graded college essays for YEARS. Now I want to help.

During my time as a college professor, I’ve assigned and graded just about every kind of essay known to man. I’ve also WRITTEN just about every kind of writing on the planet.

That combination—writing millions of words of content and grading thousands of essays—helped me come up with a pretty nifty system for knocking out a good paper.

Let’s be clear this isn’t just paint-by-number. You’ll still have to do a bit of work.

We this system will do, however, is totally streamline the process and help you get much better grades.

In fact, the students I help usually cut their writing time in half and increase the grades on their essays by almost a full letter.

In fact, many of them become the person helping THEIR friends with their essays.

You just have to learn it.

Here’s what you’ll learn…

  • How to never run out of things to say

  • Why thesis statements are dumb and what to do instead

  • Why you should never write your introduction first

  • How to apply the principles of lean manufacturing and batching to essay writing

  • How many sources you really need
  • How long your paper needs to be
  • How to avoid getting “stuck” (or writer’s block)
  • …and a lot more!

Sound cool?

Scroll up, and click that BUY button, so you can take the stress out of your next paper, spend less time writing, and become the person your friends ask to help THEM.

How to Write Your Essay In Half the Time And Still Get an A edition by Richard Glenn Reference eBooks Reviews

The book is a quick read with fantastic tips or "Golden Rules" on writing an essay quickly but still focusing on quality. Will pass this along to my high schooler who dreads writing essays and always waits til the last minute.
Richard Glenn knocks another one out of the park with this new book. My days of writing essays for school may be behind me, but I still took a lot out of the actionable suggestions provided here. I feel like the process provided will help me approach certain work projects in a different manner, which is a huge help because I often dreaded them like I did my college essays.

Great book, great suggestions and an all around enjoyable read!
This book was extremely insightful. The author provides relevant information for those who need to refine their writing abilities. I would recommend this book to others.
I just started university and have an essay coming up. I had no idea how to start and was in a jam. Reading this book really motivated me and a lot of the ideas in the book helped make task at hand seem easier and more doable. I'm not sure of the results yet, but for such a quick read (about an hour) it was worth reading before starting my essay process.

Would recommend to anyone feeling intimidated about writing an essay.
You don't have to dread essay writing anymore. Overcome your mental blocks to write any college essay quickly (and well) using this proven system the author developed. By the way, the author taught college writing classes, so he knows a thing or two about what goes into a good essay.

With this system you can be writing quality essays in an hour and a half or so, NOT days. And the author claims it works for any kind of writing. I believe it. From making a strong first impression, to why your own opinions matter, and to lightning-fast organizing and sourcing, this book delivers on the promise it makes. Invest a few bucks in this book, and it'll serve you well throughout your college years and beyond.
I have been a college supplemental instructor for years and read this book only because it appeared on the front of my kindle. Reading it was an affirmation of all I have learned over 40 years, boiled down, condensed, and easily processed in a twenty minute read.

Glenn offers a SIMPLE, QUICK, and EFFECTIVE way for students at high school and undergraduate levels to bust out essays in about two hours that will do exactly what the title suggests, earn an "A". His suggestions steer readers around the pitfalls, manage their time, and most of all, create a paper that is INTERESTING FOR BOTH THE STUDENT AND THE TEACHER. (When the student engages the teacher, the probability of an 'A' increases drastically).

My thanks go out to Mr. Glenn for condensing the decades of wisdom that I have utilized myself, and attempted to share with my children and students. He writes in a manner that is both easy to read, and incredibly effective at getting his point across. This should come as no surprise since it is the goal of every essay you will be writing. Reading "How to Write Your Essay In Half the Time ...And Still Get an A" delivers exactly what it promises and makes it interesting along the way. It is a MUST READ for every student.
Too many spelling mistakes for a published work (especially given the topic). Some useful information but no Pulitzer for this one.
